Evans Baroque Production Department and Activities
The EB Production Department responsible for converting raw materials into finished medicines and nutraceuticals in a controlled, documented, and compliant manner. This process is carried out in two plants viz:-
The Pharma Plant
Where Capsules, Tablets, oral and external liquids, creams and ointments are made.
The Nutraceuticals Plant
Where oral powders are made
Main Objectives of the EB Production Department
Manufacture medicinal products and nutraceuticals safely, consistently, and efficiently
Follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Maintain product quality and traceability
Prevent contamination and mix-ups
Meet production targets and regulatory requirements
Production Operations in EB are headed by the Production Manager who reports to the Factory Manager.
The key activities in the sections include:-
A. Dispensing / Weighing
Raw materials are sampled and weighed according to batch records. Strict controls prevent mix-ups.
B. Granulation Processes include:
Dry mixing Wet granulation Fluid bed drying Milling/sieving
C. Compression
Granules compressed into tablets.
D. Coating
Film coating or sugar coating of tablets.
E. Capsule Filling
Hard gelatin capsules filled with powders or pellets.
F. Oral Liquid Manufacturing Section Manufactures:
Syrups Suspensions Oral solutions Emulsions

G. External Liquids / Semisolids Section Manufactures:

I. Nutraceuticals
Manufactures and packs nutraceutical powders.
Key activities include:-
Can folding Kibling Pre – blending & Mixing Powder filling Canning and Sacheting Sleeving and shrink wrapping
Cross-Functional Collaboration
To effectively carry out her role the production department maintains good relationships with the Supply Chain, Quality Assurance (Quality Control & Quality Compliance), Engineering and Regulatory departments and sections.
