Where It All Begins
Walk onto our Agbara site and you’re standing on ground that’s been manufacturing medicine for over 40 years – long before “Evans Baroque” was even a name. This is where four decades of pharmaceutical heritage meet a facility built to global standards, and where the medicine reaching pharmacies across Africa gets its start.
Headquartered at KM 32, Lagos/Badagry Expressway, Agbara Industrial Estate, Ogun State, our Nigerian operations span 8.3 hectares – one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturing sites in the country, and one of only four facilities in all of Nigeria to hold World Health Organization prequalification.
Inside, three dedicated plants keep production running: a Pharmaceuticals plant producing tablets, liquids, capsules, creams and ointments; a Nutraceuticals plant behind our flagship Glucose D; and a Beta-Lactam facility currently being reactivated to expand our antibiotic manufacturing capacity. At full capacity, this facility can produce over 4.5 billion tablets a year – a number that reminds us, every single day, of the scale of the responsibility we carry.

From pain relief to family wellness, the range of products made at Agbara reflects the breadth of everyday health needs we exist to serve – analgesics like Algafen, antimalarials like Ravimal, antibiotics, haematinics, and our flagship instant-energy supplement, Glucose D, among many others.
