Indications

• Treatment & prevention of anaemia due to iron & folic acid deficiency.

• Prophylaxis and treatment of iron and folic acid deficiency during pregnancy.

• Folic acid supplementation in infants with low birth weight, prolonged diarrhoea and infection.

• Other conditions with increased folic acid requirements such as alcoholism, hepatic disease, haemolytic anaemia, lactation, oral contraceptive use and pregnancy.

Dosage

• Chewable tablets: Adults and children>12years

• Latent deficiency: 1 tablet daily

• Manifested deficiency: 1-3 tablets daily
