Pimcef

Pimcef is used for:

• Treatment of nosocomial and community-acquired pneumonia due to susceptible organisms.
• Complicated urinary tract infections.
• Skin and skin structure infections.
• Complicated intra-abdominal infections

Composition

• Cefepime 1g

Dosage .

• Pneumonia (nosocomial): IV 1-2g every 8-12hrs for 7-21days [7-10 days in the absence of Pseudomonas]
• Pneumonia (Community-acquired, including Pseudomonal): IV 1-2g/12hrs for 10     days
• Complicated & uncomplicated UTI: IM/IV 0.5-1g/12hrs for 7-10 days (in severe cases, 2g/12hrs for 10 days)
• Uncomplicated skin & skin structure infections: IV 2g/12hrs for 7-10 days
• Complicated intra-abdominal infections: IV 2g/12hrs for 7-10 days.
