Maxiclav 228.5mg suspension

Maxiclav 228.5mg suspension is used for:

• Short-term treatment of susceptible infections including upper and lower respiratory tract infections
• Genito-urinary tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Bone and joint infections in children.

Composition

• Amoxicillin 200mg
• Clavulanic acid 28.5mg

Dosage

Based on amoxicillin:

• <1yr: 20-30 mg/kg/day in 2 divided doses.
• 1-6yrs: 125mg every 12hrs.
• 6-12yrs: 250mg every 12hrs.
• >12yrs: 250mg every 12hrs, doubled in severe infections.
